Chinese Astrology Basic Concepts 𧧠Part 2
Peach Blossoms, Champions/Saboteurs, Main/Side Money Luck, and Voluntary Losses
Continuing from Basic Concepts Part 1, here are other references you will frequently see in the forecasts:
Peach Blossoms đž represent interpersonal luck, which can be romantic or not. Having peach blossoms or peach blossom luck means that people will be drawn to you, want to help you, be more inclined to like you, take your side and agree with you during conflicts, etc. However, they are not all created equal! Thereâs strong peach blossom luck, which brings on relationships that have staying power (e.g. people you can marry, lifelong friends) and also weak peach blossoms. The latter may bring on short-lived relationships, hot but temporary flings, intense friendships that form and dissolve quickly (not necessarily acrimoniously, but maybe you lose touch for no reason after a while) - in such cases, people are REALLY drawn to you, but these tend not to be relationships that have potential for longevity.
Champions đïž are people who can help you, professionally or in any area. They can be new acquaintances, or people who have been in your life for a while that step in at a crucial time when you need it. They are excellent to have in your life, but sometimes you are more likely to come across them than others, or you may have more of them come to your aid than other years.
Saboteurs đïž are, as the name suggests, shit-starters - people who sabotage your efforts in whatever you do, get in your way, undermine you, cause interpersonal drama (often by talking behind your back), etc.
Main vs Side Moneyđ° refers to sources of income. Main money is your primary job, i.e. your day job, and side money can be anything else - money coming from side hustles, investments, inheritances, or even from winning at games of chance. My grandma always says, sometimes when youâre feeling lucky and you happen to walk by a lottery stand, it might be a good idea to buy a ticket. (But of course, be responsible and donât go crazy.)
Voluntary Bloodshed 𩞠In years where people may be more prone to illness or physical injury (especially from sharp objects), they may want to engage in âvoluntary bloodshedâ to dampen the effects of that bad luck. That could mean getting your teeth cleaned, donating blood (probably the best option if itâs possible for you because youâre also helping someone out), acupuncture, getting injectables, microblading, tattoos, piercings, or other elective procedures. Anything that pierces the skin and/or draws blood works, and some astrologers say the protective effects are even better if itâs to the head area. The logic behind this is that if getting injured is in the stars for you, and you get one of the aforementioned things done, then youâve already sustained physical trauma, which decreases the likelihood of losing blood via other unwanted and unplanned ways. However, with elective surgeries, of course, you need to weigh your risks.
Voluntary Money Loss đž Similarly, when certain signs are prone to money loss in a given year, some people will engage in âvoluntary money lossâ and splurge on something theyâve been wanting for a while, to decrease the potential for money loss from something they donât want. Iâve also heard of astrologers suggesting making charitable donations for voluntary money loss, which is a great idea because, as mentioned before, good karma and luck are related. Any amount is good but ideally it shouldnât be spare change, or a tiny amount that means nothing to you - it should be an amount that makes you feel some sort of way, in your situation, with whatever resources you have. The actual dollar figure is not the point - itâs the significance of the amount to you. Piggybacking on this, if you have negative stars linked to bad health, itâs a good idea to donate to hospitals or research funds. If you have bad health stars related to family elders or offspring, you might want to donate to retirement facilities, seniorsâ health programs, hospitals, childrenâs hospitals, or even campaigns (GoFundMe is a good source) for people who are raising money for medical treatments, living expenses while fighting an illness, or funerary costs. Iâd also advise that itâs probably better to donate to causes that concretely help people/animals if youâre doing so with luck protection in mind - the places mentioned previously, or homeless shelters, or womenâs shelters, or animal welfare organizations, etc. - as opposed to, say, political campaigns.
And thatâs it for my updated basic concepts! Last thing Iâll post before the forecasts drop is some general housekeeping info specifically for 2026. Keep an eye on your inboxes! đ
