Tons of movement luck for you this year, which means youâll likely have a lot of opportunities or reasons to travel (which can be work or leisure), and also a lot of tasks to accomplish. Movement luck is often related to promotions for people who work in the public sector, and heavy workloads for everyone else.
Movement may also bring changes in your living situation - e.g. your physical home (i.e. moving), the city, state/province, or even the country you live in. If you need to move or travel, just find places that are suitable for you, and move or travel to places that make you feel good.
Strong academic luck this year - great for students or anyone learning something, especially if theyâre going to have to take exams or get evaluated in some way. Those in this situation will attain very good results.
Movement + academic luck may also point to studying abroad, especially for younger Monkeys. So those who want to participate in a study abroad program, take a single course in a different country, or maybe take a licensing exam in a foreign place (e.g. I think a lot- go for it! You will have good results this year.
Otherwise, no particular clashes or peach blossoms, which means it will be a fairly stable year. Generally, the vibe for Monkeys in the Year of the Horse is pretty laidback and chill. Consequently, you may want to go ahead and dial back the intensity, and evaluate your situation instead. Think about whether youâre happy going in your current direction or if youâd like a change, and what you may need to do to get where you want to be in different aspects of your life.
Some weak negative stars related to grief (usually more related to elderly family members) - so pay attention to the health of older family members. Some astrologers will advise people not to attend funerals/wakes/celebrations of life, and even to avoid visiting the ill at hospitals. But Iâm kind of against that way of thinking because you usually only get invited to those things for people who you are/were close to, who meant something to you, and I think not attending will result in long-term regret or resentment, which is worse.

Nothing special this year; things are generally fairly stable, though Monkeys in committed relationships may find themselves battling for domination with their partner this year. Either you or your partner may regularly try to have the upper hand, insisting theyâre right, insisting things go their way - so itâs important to communicate and try to compromise.
You may meet a lot of people who come from a different place or culture - either foreigners in your area, or people who grew up elsewhere and came back. Itâs worthwhile to get to know them - you never know what can come out of it.
Youâll also have the opportunity to meet people in higher places this year - perhaps senior executives, affluent friends, influential people, famous people, etc. These relationships are worth nurturing.
In fact, Monkeys in committed relationships may want to plan some vacations with their significant other to places with different cultures; seeing the world together will help strengthen your relationship.
Not much drama in store for non-romantic relationships - fairly stable year.
Career/Money
Generally a pretty relaxed year, but you also have movement luck, which means the year can be as chill or as eventful (if you were born in the Fall/Winter) as you want it to be. Those who want to chill out will easily find momentum slowing down, and motivation becoming stagnant, but thatâs ok, as long as theyâre comfortable with commensurate financial rewards. For those who want to slow down, itâs a good year to take longer stretches of time off, as long as they budget wisely for it. If you do want to slow down, just remember that ITâS OKAY TO DO SO. Most of us have to work for at least three decades - taking it easy at various points is absolutely fine. Work is a marathon, not a sprint. And in fact, sometimes, slowing down can give you clarity, and the opportunity to view things more thoroughly, which helps you plan for the future.
Movement luck also means itâs a good time to change jobs/companies if you are not happy where you are, or if you come across a better opportunity. (Though sometimes, peopleâs job mandates just expand or change, so it might not involve actually changing your role.) Fall/Winter Monkeys can look aggressively, go for promotions, and make bigger changes. Spring/Summer Monkeys may want to consider going for laterals or even jobs that are a step down if they really want a change - ideally, something thatâs easier and comes with less pressure (and also a pay cut).
Good money luck for people who solve problems for a living, which is also true for Horses this year. Those in the funerary business are also going to make good money this year. For people in all other industries, they may have to spend money to make some problems go away. (Which is okayâŚmy people always say that problems that can be resolved with money are not real problems at all.)
People whose jobs require a lot of socializing, client-facing time, or travelling to see people, will do better financially this year. Those whose jobs just involve them being holed up in the office may find their career luck to be stagnant, unless they find ways to get out more or unless they can institute some changes in their jobs (like the aforementioned expansion/change of duties, or change of job).
Good career luck especially for those in administrative roles and in commercial real estate.
Health
Generally pretty stable year health-wise, though thereâs a little bit of chance for bloodshed this year, so get voluntary bloodshed out of the way, especially for older Monkeys.
UmâŚthose who are playing the field may want to be careful about, um, STIs this year.
Thereâs a negative star, the Lonely Day star, that can bring about feelings of - you guessed it - loneliness. It may make you feel closed off and isolated from people, so try to make the effort to reach out, or at least accept invitations. This may be especially impactful on people who have to travel a lot for work. Making and having friends abroad will also help with the loneliness.
Strong movement luck can point to travel, but also just having to be on the go all the time. For those who this applies to, make sure you get enough rest and donât overexert yourself.
1956
Fire Monkeys are advised to work on themselves this year, and to work on their minds. Monkeys tend to always have a lot going on, they are always on the go, and so they are life-long learners. This is a great year to pursue new knowledge in any area that interests you.
You may have plans to travel this year, but it might not be at the right time, either because of preparation issues or because plans change.
Moods may be more volatile this year, because you may have a tendency to dwell on the past, especially when you think of your glory days; try to pull yourself back to the present because there are plenty of good times still to be had in the present, and lots to enjoy.
Fire Monkeys, itâs a fire-heavy year - be mindful of your heart health, blood pressure, and other health issues. Especially if you were born in the summer (and to a lesser degree, spring) - get a thorough checkup to stay on top of things.
Also be careful of injuries occurring in the head region - watch out for fall hazards (like in the bathroom or when itâs icy out) and be careful in the kitchen. Install accessibility aids if you need them - they will go a long way to keep you safe. Definitely get some voluntary bloodshed done early in the year. Also, donating money to hospitals or medical bill funds can protect your health.
Youâre 71 according to the lunar calendar - usually, women are encouraged to celebrate their milestone+1 birthdays. On your lunar birthday, you might want to have a low key celebration with family, ideally a vegetarian or vegan celebration.

Youâre in for a year of lots of hard work, though your rewards will be commensurate with your efforts. Naturally, this is most beneficial for self-employed Monkeys, business owners, and other unsalaried people, and particularly for those born in Fall/Winter. Salaried Monkeys, however, may not benefit financially as much - they will just be very busy but hopefully if they earn a bonus, it will be better than usual.
It may feel like youâve reached a bottleneck at certain points this year, and youâll need to plan for your next step.
Remember that not all things are black and white, and that you have many choices - this year in particular is full of choices.
Thereâs a marked improvement in your luck compared to last year; Champions will come to your aid when you need them.
If you had a bunch of annoying family-related or home-related issues to deal with, they will get resolved this year one by one
Your mood may be a bit more volatile than usual; you may experience some anxiety, which can affect your sleep; try to do low-intensity exercises to help you decompress, like yoga or tai-chi. You might also want to go out into nature as much as you can, and be around lush greenery, which will improve your mood - you need to surround yourself with as much positive energy as possible, and your mood will improve accordingly.
Be mindful of the health of elderly family remembers - make sure they are on top of things, get any concerns checked out right away, and you should intervene if you need to, like taking them to the doctor yourself, making sure they take their medication, etc., to prevent minor issues from getting bigger.
1980
Youâre in for a much better year! That means your luck will stabilize (and generally improve).
Metal Monkeys are due for a pretty relaxed year, in which Champions will present themselves at opportune times. This is a year for introspection and planning - be very honest about yourself and your situation, set goals, and make plans for attaining them.
Itâs a year for you to reap rewards - youâll be pretty happy with how things turn out.
You might feel lonely at times - during these times, you should try to adjust your way of thinking and appreciate the luxury of having Me Time, and of being able to do what you want to do without having to consider someone elseâs opinion in certain cases.
This is a good year for new beginnings, to charge ahead with gusto, especially because you will have high spirits, a sharp, logical mind, and management ability. In other words, you will feel up for a challenge.
Slightly higher odds than usual of getting into legal disputes, so be extra careful when it comes to contracts and agreements - have someone look over things for you and answer questions, if youâre not 100% sure about details
Business owners and managers need to be extra careful when it comes to customs and borders, taxes, compliance, documentation from/for regulatory bodies, etc. Overlooking things can get you into trouble. Also, be mindful of the financial situations of your clients - try not to issue credit or be too lenient with terms. If you get a particularly large order, make sure they can reasonably foot the bill.

Youâre in for a power and status elevation year; those climbing the corporate ladder have better than usual chances for promotion. Business owners , self-employed, and other unsalaried people should work on raising their profiles and bolstering their reputation in their industries, as well as make as many connections as possible, which will bring about a lot of new business.
Youâre at a crossroads this year, and will find yourself needing to decide whether to advance or retreat, at various times. Donât be afraid to try things out temporarily or on a smaller scale before you make major decisions.
Youâll enjoy progress in your career this year, and your money luck will also improve accordingly. However, be mentally prepared that you may undergo some change when it comes to your responsibilities, department, or your position.
Those who are interested in changing their jobs are advised to try to make it happen in the second half of the year - your odds of succeeding are better then.
You may be more susceptible to interpersonal drama this year - you may be prone to conflict with people even over minor things. Try to communicate frequently, maintain a tolerant mindset, and perhaps travel for work regularly to be around coworkers less, to minimize friction.

You have the best money luck out of all Monkeys - makes sense as many Wood Monkeys will be making real money for the first time! Work extra hard and perform well, to lay a good foundation for your career going forward. If you impress the right people and establish a good reputation straight out of the gate, your career luck will be smoother in the next few years.
You have the strongest movement momentum out of your peers; if you want to see the world, make plans and go for it.

Those who have been wanting to go abroad should try to make it happen, especially if it is to study - it will be a very enriching experience.
